Ingredients:
2 oz Tequila
1 oz Orange Liqueur (I used Alma Finca Orange Liqueur)
1 oz Cranberry Juice
1 oz Pomegranate Juice
2 oz Sweet and sour mix

Garnish:
Cranberries
Pomegranate pearls
Lime wedge or wheel

Directions:
In a large cocktail shaker add all of the margarita ingredients

Shake to combine

Fill your glass with ice

Pour your cocktail mixture into the glass and garnish.

A tried and true copy cat recipe for Trisha Yearwood's Tortilla Soup. It's simple to make and delicious.

Ingredients

  • butter
  • 2 or 3 cloves of garlic, pressed
  • onion (chopped)
  • flour
  • 14 oz chicken broth
  • half and half or low-fat milk
  • salsa
  • chicken breasts (boneless, skinless (boiled and shredded)
  • kidney beans
  • black beans
  • corn
  • ground cumin
  • fajita seasoning
  • cream of chicken soup

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large soup pot.
  2. Add garlic and onion, and saute until soft.
  3. Add flour and stir well. Saute for 1 minute.
  4. Add the broth and the half-and-half. (I boiled the chicken before hand in 6 comes of water to make the broth.) 
  5. Stir in cream of chicken soup, salsa, chicken, beans, corn, cumin and fajita seasoning.
  6. Continue to simmer over low heat for 15 minutes. Stir a lot to prevent anything from sticking to the bottom of the pot.
  7. Optional: Top it with tomatoes, green onions, cilantro, shredded cheese, sour cream, tortilla chips and black olives.
