In reply to Sarah Harashe. The waterpark is a little closer to palace, but it's in the middle so it isn't much difference. The seaweed is more about when you visit and the temperatures they have had, not where you stay. I think your travel agent is wrong. I think both have beach and pool service.

Good morning megan. I’m wondering when this review was posted. My travel agent told me that there was no service at the pool or beach at Dunamar which was why I was going to pay extra to go to palace but I’m not sure the few extra hundred dollars is worth it and that by reading this that it is true. The reason we were choosing this area is because it is supposed to be a bit less free of the sea weed because it is north of Cancun currently . Also, is the water park any closer to one resort than the other?

Thank you for all the info! So helpful! Question… are there golf carts that drive you around the resort? Or shuttles to travel between Palace and Dunamar? I’ve never stayed anywhere without that and I can’t seem to find anything about it. Thank you!

In reply to Mark. I believe that if you stay at Rui Palace you can also eat at Dunamar restaurants but not the other way. I do not recall there being any difference between the good. Our room was better at Dunamar.

How would you compare the quality of food between Dunamar and Palace? Same or one is better than the other?

We like our coffee. Can you take a travel mug for coffee? Did you see anyone doing this? We will be at the Dunamar.
