How to find a babysitter on Vacation
Traveling with kids can be amazing, but sometimes, you just need a little adult time. If you’re like me, finding a babysitter while on vacation can feel impossible. Being stationed far from family, we take our kids with us everywhere, and it’s not always easy. Most hotels won’t recommend a sitter due to liability concerns, leaving you to figure it out on your own. Thankfully, there are some great services out there that make it easier!
One of my favorites is SitterCity. As a military family, I was thrilled to find out that they offer free memberships to military personnel. This was a lifesaver when we were moving to a new area and needed childcare without knowing anyone locally. Now, I use SitterCity when we’re on vacation too. Their platform makes it easy to find qualified sitters, no matter where we are. If you’re in need of a trustworthy sitter while traveling, check them out at Sittercity.com.
Another option is Nannies4hire.com, which allows you to search for a nanny in both the United States and Canada. While I haven’t personally used this site yet, I’d love to hear from any of my readers who have. If you’ve had a great (or not-so-great) experience with Nannies4hire, drop a comment below!
So, the next time you’re planning a vacation and want a little time to yourself, don’t stress about finding childcare—these services have you covered!
